This application is quite impressive (and free) due to the fact that Microsoft cashed in for it (or at least hired the developer to work on the Media Center team). Tech-wise it comes with a Cassini spinoff called Ultidev so it doesn't require IIS for serving content.

Installed it yesterday so I haven't been using it much but so far it looks promising, the recording options don't behave the same as in Vista Media Center but just that it's web based and looks like really nice is enough for me, it even has a Vista gadget with program guides and recordings.
