What is and what is not EPiServer CMS 5 SP1

EPiServer CMS 5 SP1 is:

  • Based on the same code base as the release but with up to 100 bug fixes
  • Compatible with the release but with some minor behavioural changes discussed in the release notes
  • Shipping vehicle for Content Channels to support the Sharepoint Connector
  • Already used in pre-production by a customer
  • Fully tested to the same level as the release (we froze the code for SP1 over a month ago)

 

And what it isn't:

  • Does not contain any major new cool features
  • Is not the same code base as the next feature release, so no unstable or untested code has been close to SP1
