Waiting for Rosario
There are so many great features coming in Microsoft Team Foundation Server "Rosario". Here are some of the most promising ones:
- Historical debugger
A new window that tracks what happens in the application when you debug, kind of a callstack on steriods. Good for tracking down bugs. Maybe something we could extend with EPiServer CMS stuff? - Branching support on history view
This should have been released ages ago but I'm glad it is coming, it allows you to see history from other branches. - Hierarchical work items
One of the major drawbacks when we moved our bugs to TFS (from Mantis) was the lack of parent-child support. Looking good, should also be a perfect fit for Scrum artifacts. - Stand-alone debugger
This is really good news for us windbg analphabets. - Quality metrics for a ‘go/no-go’ release decision
I have no clue what the actual feature is here but it sounds like something we could use :-)
Here are some screen dumps from the latest CTP if you don't want to try Rosario yourself. Click on the images to see a larger version.
